District heating & hot water

This image features an abstract, high-contrast black-and-white pattern with a sweeping, curved motion from the right to the center. The visual effect is created by a dense arrangement of horizontal white lines and rectangular segments on a black background, gradually dispersing toward the left. It gives the impression of speed, data flow, or digital transformation — evoking themes often associated with technology, industry, or innovation. The pattern’s rhythmic wave-like curve adds a sense of dynamic movement and modern energy.

The radiator is attached to a textured beige wall on the left side of the image, while on the right, a small chrome towel holder supports a neatly hung white towel. The soft lighting casts gentle shadows on the wall, highlighting the clean lines and functional design of the space. The environment appears warm, minimalist, and contemporary.
Invisible, indispensable, everywhere you live and work

Millions of users every day

Have you ever wondered how hot water flows from your tap or how your home warms up when you turn the thermostat? Most of us rely on these everyday comforts without thinking about who provides them or how they reach our homes.

District heating has become a standard in modern constructionand is one of the few utilities used daily by millions of peopleacross Poland. It’s present not just in our homes, but also inoffices, government buildings, shopping centers, schools, sportsfacilities, and more.

And it’s not just about heating radiators – district heating increasingly supplies domestic hot water for kitchens and bathrooms, powers air conditioning systems, and even warms the turf of sports fields across our cities.

Instant comfort, powered by district energy

Domestic hot water

Domestic hot water is produced by heating cold water from themunicipal supply using district heating. The heat, generated at acombined heat and power (CHP) plant, travels through anunderground network of insulated pipes to homes, schools, hospitals, and cultural centers.

Inside each building – usually in the basement – a heat exchangestation transfers this energy to the cold water supply. The result: hot water delivered straight to your tap at a stable, ready-to-usetemperature the moment you turn it on.

Close-up view of a round, ceiling-mounted showerhead releasing streams of water in a gentle, even flow. The showerhead is metallic with multiple small nozzles, each dispensing water straight downward. The background consists of light-colored bathroom tiles arranged in a clean, grid-like pattern. The overall lighting is soft and warm, creating a calming atmosphere with glistening droplets visible mid-air as they descend.

Why choose a centralized system for heating and hot water?

Two tall metal electricity pylons made of lattice steel structures stand against a bright blue sky, carrying multiple high-voltage power lines. The lines are suspended from the pylons using sets of large, white ceramic insulators arranged in strings, which help prevent electrical discharge. The pylon on the left is closer and shows more structural detail, while the one on the right is slightly farther away and partially obscured by the sun's glare. The strong sunlight creates a high contrast, with sharp shadows and a radiant glow in the background, emphasizing the scale and function of the infrastructure.
