ResInvest Energy Chorzów combines the historic Chorzów Power Plant legacy with modern cogeneration technology and high environmental standards. Strategically located in Upper Silesia, the facility focuses on reliable heat and electricity production for urban and industrial use across the region.
Commissioned to replace the original plant that served the region since 1898, ResInvest Energy Chorzów represents a new era in energy production. Designed with environmental performance in mind, it began co-firing coal with biomass in 2008.
Today, biomass contributes to nearly one-third of the plant’s energy output. This transition supports cleaner air and aligns with Poland’s broader goals for a more sustainable energy mix.
