Electricity & combustion by-products

This image features an abstract, high-contrast black-and-white pattern with a sweeping, curved motion from the right to the center. The visual effect is created by a dense arrangement of horizontal white lines and rectangular segments on a black background, gradually dispersing toward the left. It gives the impression of speed, data flow, or digital transformation — evoking themes often associated with technology, industry, or innovation. The pattern’s rhythmic wave-like curve adds a sense of dynamic movement and modern energy.

A circular approach to combustion by‑products

A close-up view of a pile of crushed rock or mineral fragments, captured in a circular frame. The surface is a mix of fine dust and variously sized sharp-edged pieces, ranging from tiny grains to larger, jagged chunks. The texture appears gritty and uneven, with a predominantly dark grey coloration. The fragments are scattered naturally, creating a raw, unrefined look that suggests industrial or geological processing.
Slag sand SK

Produced from power plant slag, slag
sand SK is a certified material used in construction, land leveling, and embankment building – offering a sustainable alternative to natural aggregates.

A smooth, clean, and featureless surface with a glossy finish, reflecting light from a nearby window. The reflection shows soft, vertical shapes resembling windowpanes, slightly distorted by the curvature or texture of the surface. The overall tone is light grey, and the image is framed in a circle, emphasizing the minimalistic and abstract quality of the reflection.
Fly ash for concrete

Our certified fly ash is a high-quality additive used in the production of concrete, cement, and aerated blocks – enhancing material performance while supporting eco-friendly construction.

A close-up image of several dark grey chunks of coal or mineral rock, shown in sharp focus with a blurred background. The texture of the rock is rough and uneven, with small cracks, ridges, and a matte surface that catches light subtly. Tiny flecks of rust-colored particles are scattered on the surface, adding to the natural, earthy appearance. The image is framed in a circular crop, giving it a clean and contained presentation.
Duraset

Duraset is a geotechnical binder made from fluidized bed ash, used in civil engineering and land reclamation to improve soil stability and support sustainable construction practices.

A minimalistic indoor scene showing a clean white wall with a double electrical outlet positioned slightly above a light-colored tile baseboard. A sharply defined trapezoidal shadow, cast by sunlight entering from an unseen window, covers part of the wall and floor, creating a strong contrast between light and dark areas. The wooden floor at the bottom adds warmth to the otherwise neutral setting. The image evokes a sense of calm and simplicity through its clean lines, natural lighting, and geometric composition.

Reliable electricity supply through cogeneration

Electricity produced at the RE Skawina S.A and the RE Chorzów S.A. is sold via a brokerage house on the Polish Power Exchange (TGE) through forward contracts and partially on the spot market (day-ahead market).

Additionally, both companies actively participate in the balancing market operated by PSE S.A., where surplus energy beyond contracted volumes is sold, and energy is purchased to meet contractual obligations in case of reduced production. The balancing market is a technical market that enables producers to balance the energy required for production.

Electricity generated by RE Skawina from the hydroelectric plants HPP Borek (0.76 MWe) and HPP Skawina II (0.92 MWe) is sold under a three-year OTC contract to E.ON Polska. Moreover, the hydro plants participate in the Feed-in-Premium support scheme, under which Zarządca Rozliczeń S.A. compensates the negative balance between the support system price and the current market price on TGE.

A low-angle view of a large industrial interior showing massive galvanized steel ventilation ducts. The ducts curve and extend vertically toward the ceiling, which is supported by a green metal truss framework and covered with beige acoustic panels. The surface of the ducts is textured with a metallic, slightly mottled finish and secured with visible seams and rivets. Ceiling lights hang from the beams, providing illumination. The scale and curvature of the ducts give a sense of depth and industrial complexity, emphasizing the mechanical infrastructure of the building.
